Steve cox

Steve Cox started his partnership with Keller Williams Local in 2018, where he has since enjoyed assisting over 100 families to achieve their home ownership dreams, with multiple 8-figure average sales years.

Steve has also earned the distinction of being a KW Luxury Agent for his work and success with high net-worth clients and unique properties.

Steve Cox is a Springfield, MO native, graduating from Glendale High School in 1983, and Drury University in 1987 with a BA in Business Administration.

Steve’s love of competition led him to participate throughout his life in various
sports, including football, baseball, track and field, tennis, cycling, and golf. He
was a four-year academic and athletic scholarship basketball player while at
Drury, participating in two NAIA National Championship tournaments.

Steve has been married for 36 years to his wife and business partner Lisa. Their
two daughters, Megan and Amanda, excel in their own medical and fashion
design careers, respectively.

Steve’s professional career has included advertising sales in Southern California,
advertising and promotion account management at Noble & Associates here in Springfield, and eventually starting and operating a successful automobile paint and body repair business for 28 years, until selling it in February of 2018. Steve also built, owned, and ran Cox Climate Controlled Storage & U-Haul here in Springfield.

In his early adult life, Steve began buying, building, renovating and managing residential and commercial real estate properties, both locally and out-of-state.
His experience working with his own real estate, combined with his vast network
of friends, acquaintances and past customers acquired through the years led him to his partnership with Keller Williams of Greater Springfield in 2018.

He and the Steve Cox Homes team have enjoyed assisting over 100 families, with multiple 8-figure average sales years. Steve has also earned the distinction of being a KW Luxury Agent for his work and success with high net-worth clients and unique properties.

Lisa Cox began a successful career in real estate in the 1990s, but left to build a 30-year career in direct sales, consistently achieving success at the top levels of her company.

In 2025, she proudly teamed up with her husband Steve at Keller Williams Local, combining their strengths to better serve buyers and sellers througout our region.

With deep roots in the Ozarks and a passion for serving others, Lisa Cox brings experience, dedication, and heart to every real estate transaction. LaTisha (Tish) Wooten has many years of experience in customer care, contract-to-close transaction management, administrative roles, and the legal field, holding a Paralegal degree.

After working at KW for 3.5 years, Tish joined Steve Cox Homes as Marketing Director. Tish’s peers at Keller Williams nominated and awarded her Admin of the Year for 2020.

LaTisha (Tish) Wooten, a native to the area, has many years of experience in customer care, contract-to-close transaction management, administrative roles, and the legal field, holding a Paralegal degree. Tish’s peers at Keller Williams nominated and awarded her Admin of the Year for 2020.

She is a powerful force in the workplace, using her energy to help those around her in any way she can. Tish is happiest when she is being creative and taking care of others. Dubbed “a ray of sunshine” by some of her coworkers, she does her best to be helpful to everyone she encounters. 

After working at KW for 3.5 years, Tish joined Steve Cox Homes as Marketing Director. This position allows her to take on more of a client care role and develop marketing pieces for both print and digital. Having held many roles required to run an office and possessing strong transaction management skills, she is certainly an amazing asset to the team.

In her free time, she loves to watch movies, shop and hang out with her cats. Tish is an animal lover and will surely pet just about any animal—within reason. She does her best to support the local no-kill animal rescues when she can.

Tish’s most memorable vacation moment was traveling to Switzerland with her husband and son and eating lunch at the top of the Alps while viewing the Matterhorn. Hopefully, Ireland is next on her travel bucket list, with visions of green grass, sheep and castles galore.
